Terms of service
Last updated 14 October 2026
The short version
Courtship AI gives you dating advice. It never sends a message for you, never logs into a dating app, and can be wrong. You must be 18 or over. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial that becomes a paid plan unless you cancel; plans renew until you cancel, and you can cancel any time. Be fair to the people whose messages you share with it.
1. Who we are
Courtship AI (“Courtship AI”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Next Step Forward FZ-LLC, FDRK8909 Compass Building, Al Shohada Road, Al Hamra Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. You can reach us at [email protected]. These terms are an agreement between you and us for your use of courtship-ai.com and the Courtship AI app (together, the “Service”).
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or over. The Service is about adult dating and is not for anyone younger.
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; everything done with it counts as done by you. Tell us at once if you think someone else has it.
- Give a real email address. It is how you recover your account and how we reach you about it.
- If you ask for help, a member of our team may enter your account for that call. Every such entry is recorded and you can see it afterwards.
3. What the Service is, and is not
Courtship AI reads what you share with it (your profile, screenshots of a match’s profile, your conversations, your own notes) and gives you advice: an honest read of where things stand, replies written in your own voice, a briefing before a date, a debrief after it, and a coach to check in with. It is guided only: it never logs into a dating app, never contacts anyone, and never sends a message. You read the advice, you decide, and you send.
It is not a therapist, a counsellor, a lawyer or an emergency service. It is not a substitute for professional support, and nothing it says is a promise about how a relationship will go. See AI advice and safety for what it can and cannot do.
4. Plans, reads and payment
- Reads. One read is one piece of advice: a profile review, a chat read with its replies, three openers from a screenshot, a reply tweak, a date briefing, a debrief, a check-in summary or one coach message. A request that fails or that the model refuses is not counted.
- Trying it out. A new account can use a few reads and one match without a payment card, once, to see what the Service does. Getting to know you (the first conversation) is not a read.
- Free trial. After that, a new account starts a 7-day free trial of Plus or Pro. We ask for a payment card at the start. During the trial you have a small allowance of reads and active matches. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your plan continues automatically and you are charged for the first period on the day the trial ends. The free trial is for new members; someone who has had a paid plan before is charged from the first day.
- Paid plans. Plus and Pro are billed in advance, in US dollars, monthly, every three months, every six months or yearly as you choose, and renew automatically for the same term until you cancel. Paying ahead is cheaper: three months cost 2.8 months’ price, six cost 5.3, a year costs 10. Reads come with each month of the term and do not roll over. The current amounts are on the pricing page and in the app.
- Packs and passes. Read packs, Date Prep passes and Profile Makeovers are one-off purchases. Read packs do not expire while your account exists. Passes are used by the action they cover.
- Launch Month. The Launch Month bundle is a Pro subscription with a discount on the first month and a Profile Makeover included. It continues as Pro at the usual price unless you cancel.
- Invitations. When someone signs up through your invitation link and pays for their first plan, you and they each receive a credit of reads. Credits are not money, cannot be withdrawn, and may be withheld where invitations are abused (for example, inviting yourself).
- Taxes. Prices do not include sales tax, VAT or similar taxes. Where these apply, they are calculated from your billing address and added at checkout.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we and Stripe will retry it and let you know. If it still cannot be collected, your plan ends: nothing you stored is deleted and read packs you bought stay usable, but there are no new reads until a plan starts again.
- Price changes. We may change plan prices. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
5. Cancelling
Cancel any time from Plans & billing in the app (Manage billing). Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then stops. Our cancellations and refunds policy says what is refunded and when.
6. Your content, and other people’s
- What you share with the Service stays yours. You give us permission to store it, encrypt it, and send the relevant parts to our AI provider to produce your advice. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or let anyone train models on it.
- Much of what you share is about other people: their profile, their messages, their photos. They did not sign up for this. Share only what you need for the advice you want, describe them fairly, and delete a chat when it ends. The Service describes how someone communicates; it does not diagnose them, and you must not use it to.
- Do not upload anyone’s intimate images, or content you have no right to share.
- You can download everything you have stored, and delete it all, in one tap from the You screen. Deleting is immediate and permanent.
7. Advice made by AI
The advice is produced by a large language model. It can be wrong, incomplete, or confidently off. Read it as a perceptive friend’s opinion, not a fact. The safety signals it raises (requests for money, pressure, rushing) are prompts to look closer, not detection: it will miss some and flag some that are fine. You are responsible for what you send and for your own safety. If you ever feel unsafe, follow the safety page, not the app.
8. Acceptable use
The acceptable use policy is part of these terms. In short: your own dating, honestly, as yourself; no harassment, deception, scraping or automation.
9. Support access
If you ask us for help, a team member may enter your account to see what you see. Every entry is recorded with who did it and when, and you can see the record in the app. They will not delete your data or change your password without telling you.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If a change makes the Service materially worse for a plan you have paid for, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of that period.
11. Keep your own copies
Use the export. We take backups, but the Service is not a storage service and you should not rely on it as the only copy of anything that matters to you.
12. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make on the basis of the advice, for the conduct of anyone you meet, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you for anything arising from the Service in any twelve months is limited to the amount you paid us in those twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from the You screen. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy, or where the law requires; where we can, we will tell you why and let you export first.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply.
15. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and disputes will be handled by the courts of Dubai. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and can bring claims in your local courts.
