Safety
If something feels wrong, trust it
Courtship AI flags concerns in chats. This page is where it points, and it is here for everyone, signed in or not.
In immediate danger?
Call your local emergency number now (999, 911, 112). Get somewhere public or to someone you trust. Everything else can wait.
Before and during a first date
- Meet in public. Somewhere you can leave easily. Daytime for a first meeting is normal.
- Tell someone. Who you are meeting, where, and when you expect to be back. Share your location with them.
- Your own way there and back. Do not rely on them for a lift, and keep enough for a taxi.
- Keep your drink in sight. If you feel suddenly unwell or more drunk than you should be, tell staff and your contact straight away.
- Leave when you want to. You do not need a reason. “I’m going to head off” is a complete sentence.
Signals
What Courtship AI watches for
- Requests for money, gift cards, crypto or “help with a fee”, at any stage
- Very fast declarations of love or “never felt like this”
- Convenient stories: offshore work, a blocked card, an urgent need, repayment promised for Friday
- Pressure, rushing, guilt-tripping, or control over who you see
- Refusing a video call, or a profile that does not match the person
It names what it sees with the messages quoted. It will miss some and flag some that are fine: the signals are a prompt to look closer, never a verdict.

Who to call
Emergency
Your local emergency number: 999 (UK, UAE), 911 (US, Canada), 112 (EU and most of the world).
Fraud and scams
Report romance scams to your bank first, then to the police or your national fraud service (Action Fraud in the UK, the FTC in the US, the UAE Police eCrime platform). Keep the messages.
Someone to talk to
If a relationship is frightening or controlling, a domestic abuse helpline will listen without judging: Refuge (UK) 0808 2000 247, the National DV Hotline (US) 1-800-799-7233, or your country’s equivalent.
Courtship AI is a coach, not an emergency service or a counsellor. AI advice and safety explains what it can and cannot do.
